The White Hart Pub

This is a warm welcoming 16th century Coaching Inn on Henfield High Street. It is full of character with oak beams and an inglenook fireplace, as well as a walled garden. There is a function room which holds quizzes, music events and games evenings as well as gatherings. They serve a mixed menu and have a special’s board.

They are open 7 days a week, Monday - Thursday 12md – 10.30pm, Friday and Saturday 12md – 11pm, Sunday 12md – 8pm. There are 4 areas in the pub and a sheltered wall garden at the back with bench and table seating. They welcome cyclists, disabled people and is dog friendly.

Parking

the pub has a car park at the side of the pub which has up to 30 parking spaces. There is no marked disabled spaces. There are also 2 council car parks nearby with 10 disabled parking spaces.

Entrance

The main entrance from the high street into the pub has an 87cm wide door entrance then right angles to a second 87cm wide door. There is a small threshold lip of 2 – 4cm. There is a second side entrance again with right angle doors (70 and 73cm wide) with a small 2-3cm lip

Inside the Pub

Drinks are ordered at the bar, and there is waitress table service for food and drink. There is a large bar area which is flat, and 2 restaurant areas which have a small step or can be accessed on the flat from the from the function area at the back

Garden

The entrance to the garden is via an 88cm door from the car park to a flat area, and then a 7cm and 10cm step to 2 other areas. There are bench seats with spaces on the end for wheelchairs.

Toilets

The toilet area is accessible off the main bar area with 2 small steps (5 & 6cm) or from the restaurant area a 10cm step. The ladies toilet doors are 63cm wide, and the men's 69cm. There is a baby changing unit in one of the ladies toilets. If not suitable there are accessible public toilets nearby in the high street.
