Corpus Christi Catholic Church Hall
Church Hall – The hall is across the car park from the church. The hall is used for church events and also hired out to other groups. It has one main hall, a kitchen and separate female and male toilets and unisex disabled toilet. The address is Tanyard, Henfield, BN5 9PE.
Parking – The Corpus Christi church car park is flat and next to the hall. It has 3 disabled parking spaces next to the church on the opposite side of the car park to the hall. There are more parking places behind the church. If walking to the church, there is a slope from the road up to the car park.
Entrance - There is a flat area up to the hall with handrails, wide enough for a wheelchair. The front door needs to be opened by hand, so help may be needed. There is a hook to keep this door open and the door entrance is 86cm wide. There is a 1½” lip on the door which most wheelchairs can manage. There is a small lobby and then another door to access the hall which is 84cm wide. There is a wedge that can be used for the inner door.
Within the Hall – The hall holds a maximum of 60 people, and ability to move about depends on how many tables are put out. A wheelchair user would have room to move around in the kitchen. The corridor to the coat hanging area and toilets are wide enough for wheelchair users. There are no steps. No mobility scooters are allowed in the hall.
Toilets – There is an accessible unisex disabled toilet with handrails, situated as the first door going into the female toilets. There is no alarm. The entrance door to the female toilets is 80cm wide and disabled toilet door 91cm wide.
There are also female and male toilets, with a baby changing unit in the female toilet area. The entrance to the male toilet is 80cm wide.
