With permission, there is also parking in the Catholic Church car park approx 150 yards passed the church but again with a slope from the car park.
Pathways to the church - There are 5 entrances to the churchyard, from different directions to the church. The paths are either flagstones, paving or tarmac but relatively easy to walk or ride over. 2 entrances are step free, ie the main entrance and the path to the high street. Two others have 1 step and another has 4 steps.
Entrance to the church – There is one church entrance, which has no step, into a spacious lobby. The single outer church door (70cm) is left open during the day, but the other door can be opened with 2 bolts. There is then another double door (60cm) into the main body of the church which is easy to open. Again, the second door can be opened by releasing a bolt. There is usually a welcomer at the door during services/events who can help, if needed. Wheelchairs and mobility scooters are allowed in the church.
Within the Church – The church has a tiled floor with underfloor heating. Pews have been removed and replaced with rows of chairs which can be moved as necessary to accommodate wheelchairs, etc. There is space in the church to park mobility scooters. There are 2 x 5” (13cm) steps from the nave to the chancel, but communion is usually given in front of these steps, and can always be given here for disabled people.
The small Parham chapel to the left of the chancel and has 1x 6” (15cm) step.
