Post Office
This is a small friendly post office on Henfield High Street which offers many services: posting letters and parcels, travel services, bill payments, cash deposits & withdrawals, passport checks & send and car tax. They are also a drop off point for Royal Mail, Parcel Force, DPD, UPS and Amazon returns. They also sell cards, stationery and soft drinks. It is open 6 days a week: Monday – Friday 9 – 5.30 and Saturday 9 – 12.30.
Parking - the Library council car park with 81 spaces is situated off the High Street and is next to the post office and has 4 disabled parking spaces. There is also parking on the high street outside the post office. Mobility scooters can be parked outside on the pavement.
Entrance – There are 2 entrances. The front entrance has 3 x 15cm (5”) steps into the building, with no room for a ramp. The 2nd entrance is in the Post House Café through a sliding door which is flat and suitable for a wheelchair. Just ask café staff to move chairs.
Inside the Café – There are 2 counters, with the one at the far end having a hearing loop. There is a strip light just inside the door in the area selling cards, but the counter areas have more subdued lighting.
Toilets – There is no toilet in the shop, but there are public toilets next door at the bus shelter. There is a disabled toilet which needs a Radar key to access. Also, a men’s and ladies toilet block with automatic lighting and automatic hand washing facilities. The ladies toilet has an 18cm (7”) entrance step. There is a baby changing unit in the ladies and gents toilet.
