Georgie at the Henfield branch specialises in conveyancing, working closely with local estate agents to make buying or selling your property as smooth as possible.

They are open Monday to Friday 9 – 5. But the office may be closed if staff are visiting a client. Coffee and cold drinks are available.

Parking – There is on-street parking outside the office. Coopers Way council car park is situated on the same side of the road from the office and has 90 spaces and 6 disabled parking spaces.

The Library council car park is across the road from the office with 81 parking places including 4 disabled parking spaces.

Mobility scooters can be parked outside the office or there is covered parking at the end of Caudle Street.

Entrance – There are 3 x 6” (15cm) steps from the pavement to the entrance door with a handrail on both sides. A ramp can’t be used.

There are double doors which are each 2 foot (60cm) wide which open inwards to the reception area. Buggies are sometimes bought in. Clients normally phone before they come, but if a client arrives and can’t manage the steps, they often knock on the window, and Amy or Georgie speaks to them outside, or arranges to phone them, or arranges a home visit.

Inside the Office – Amy has a desk and chairs with arms, or there is a settee. The office is well lit and tends to be quiet with only one set of clients in the room at a time. With conveyancing there are a lot of documents to read, and often help is given by a relative or an attorney representing a disabled person.

Toilets – There is a toilet at the back of the office for emergency use.

Clients would normally be directed to the public toilets across the road in the high street, where there are separate male and female toilets and a unisex accessible disabled toilet which can be accessed with a radar key. A radar key can be borrowed from the office.
