This shop is part of the Noor Eye Care group based in Sussex and Hampshire. It has 2 opticians and a dispensing advisor. They have a wide range of glasses and sunglasses, including those for SEND people and Asian fits. As well as eye tests they also offer eye health checks, eg for painful irritated eyes or eye injuries. They also offer OCT scans as part of a regular eye test.

They also have an Audiologist and offer free hearing tests, have an ear wax removal service and give advice on and sell hearing aids.

They are open Monday – Saturday 9am – 5.30pm. Disabled patients can be given longer appointment times if needed.

Parking - There are 3 parking places in the High Street. The Library council car park is 100 metres from the shop on the same side of the road with 81 parking places including 3 disabled parking spaces.

Coopers Way council car park is situated across the road from the shop and has 90 spaces and 4 disabled parking spaces.

Mobility scooters are often parked outside the shop or there is covered parking at the end of Caudle Street.

Entrance - The shop entrance door can be pushed open. There is a 7” step into the shop, but there are assistance handholds on each side of the door, or staff are very happy to bring a ramp for a wheelchair or small mobility scooter to use. The door width is 78cm and ramp width 72cm

Inside the Shop – There is lots of space to move around in the shop with easy access to the reception desk. There are 2 steps to the consulting rooms (14 & 15cm high) with a handrail and a ramp can be used if needed. There are 2 chairs in the reception area. Patients do need to be able to sit in a specific seat for the eye examination. Fidget toys are available if needed

Toilets – There is a small toilet (195 x 90cm) with a door width of 64cm. If this is not suitable then customers would be directed to the public toilets in the high street, where there are separate male and female toilets and a unisex accessible disabled toilet which can be accessed with a radar key. A radar key can be borrowed from the shop.
