This hotel and pub dates back to 1578 when built as a Coaching Inn and has been stylishly updated. There are 10 rooms offering bed and breakfast, on-suite accommodation, air conditioning, TV, desk, wardrobe, tea and coffee making facilities, free Wi-Fi and free parking.

The pub is open 7 days a week from 12am – 11pm. The Laichi Indian restaurant is open from 5 – 10pm and has a takeaway or local delivery option. There is a snooker table, darts and Live Sports TV at one end of the bar. There is a garden accessed up steps from the pub or a flat entrance from the car park. It has 6 bench seats and a sheltered area.

Parking – there is a small car park at the rear of the hotel for 8 vehicles as well as on-street parking. There is a short walk along a path at the back of the hotel to Coopers Way council car park situated off the High Street which has 90 spaces including 6 disabled parking spaces.

Front Entrance - There are 2 front doors; the outer door is left open on a hook when the pub is open, and the inner door can be pushed open. There is a bell if help is needed. The doors are 92cm (3’) and 83cm (32.5”) wide. There are 2 steps of 11cm (4”) to get into the pub.

Side Entrance - This leads to the hotel rooms as well as the bar. It has a permanent 85cm (33”) metal ramp up to the 80cm (31.5”) wide door. The doorway into the bar is 68cm.

Inside the Pub – It is quite a spacious pub and wheelchair and mobility scooter users do come in. Staff are happy to move furniture to accommodate where necessary. There are several types of seating: bar stools, chairs without arms at tables, bench seating, a settee and armchairs. There is a combination of ceiling and wall lights as well as lighting at the bar and through the windows. Extra lighting is available at some of the tables in the restaurant. There is an open fire.

There are 10 bedrooms with 1 on the ground floor with is accessed from the side of the building. It has a low 4cm (1.5”) wooden step into the room. The door to the bedroom is 69cm (27”) and to the bathroom is 71cm (28”) with a step into the shower.

Disabled Unisex Toilet – This is just inside the side door and is

(230 x 87cm) (7.5’ x 3’) with 4 handrails. The door width is 81cm (32”).

Gents toilet – There are 2 steps (11cm and 3cm) to the toilet area which has 3 urinals and 1 toilet cubicle which is 148 x 84cm (5’ x 2.75’) and door width of 70cm (27.5”).

Female Toilet - There are 3 steps (15cm, 10cm & 15cm) to get to the toilet area with 3 toilet cubicles. The largest is 180 x 154cm (6’ x 5’) with a door width of 69cm (27”) and contains the baby changing unit.
