is a small friendly 17th century pub on Henfield High Street with a mixed menu and specials board. It is open 7 days a week from 11am – 11pm Monday to Saturday and 10.30 – 11pm on Sundays. There is bench seating at the front of the pub and a sheltered wall garden with bench and table seating at the back. It welcomes cyclists, disabled people and is dog friendly.
Parking – there is parking on the high street outside the pub. The Coopers Way council car park situated off the High Street has 4 disabled parking spaces. The library council car park is opposite with 3 disabled parking places and a slope down to the high street.
Entrance - There is a flat entrance from the high street into the pub with a wide door entrance. There is a second entrance to the side with 2 steps down into the pub.
Inside the Pub – Drinks are ordered at the bar, and there is waitress table service for food. They have regular disabled customers and are happy to move chairs to accommodate wheelchair users, and store walking aids. It is helpful when booking a table to say if coming in a wheelchair.
The entrance to the garden is via 1 step in the pub and then 4 steps to the garden bench seating.
Toilets – The men’s toilet is accessible off the main bar area with a 1” threshold, but easy to access.
The female toilet is up a step from the restaurant area and then 2 more steps, both with handrails. There is a baby changing area which anyone can use.
Across the road is the public toilets with a disabled toilet which needs a Radar key to access. Also, a men’s and ladies toilet block with automatic lighting and automatic hand washing facilities. There is a baby changing unit in the ladies toilet.
