Hawthorn Veterinary Surgery

This is the vets for the surrounding district with a branch in Partridge Green.  The surgery on Henfield High St was revamped in 2019 and is open 6 days a week.

Parking – There is a small car park for 4 cars at the back of the Practice but with no disabled parking.  The Library car park is close to the practice with 80 spaces, including 3 disabled parking spaces.   There is space for mobility scooter parking at the front or side of the building.

Entrance - The main entrance from the high street has 3 steps and a ‘press button to open’ entry system.  There is a side door with a flat entrance, with a push button to open, or the door can just be pushed open - this is wheelchair accessible.

Inside the Surgery  –  There is reception area with a bench and 3 seats, and a separate bench area for cats and their owners.   

Off the corridor are 3 consulting rooms which are designed so that the table and chair can be moved as necessary to accommodate disabled clients.  

Toilets – There is a unisex toilet off the corridor which has handrails and alarm and sink and hand towels in reach, and space for a lateral transfer if bins were removed.   

If a larger toilet was needed customers would be directed to the public toilets in the high street close by, which can be accessed with a radar key.
