Parking - Coopers Way council car park is situated at the back of the store and has 4 disabled parking spaces with dropped kerbs/slopes. Mobility scooters are often parked outside on the high street pavement or at the back of the store. There is a sheltered parking place at the end of Caudel St.
Entrance - The front and back store entrance doors open automatically when approached. The route from the back door is a long slope down to the shop floor.
Inside the Store – there are wide aisles and self-service and manned tills. There are shopping trolleys which fit onto a wheelchair, and baby carriers which fit onto the trolleys, which customers can ask for. There is a Hearing Loop at the tills. Staff are trained to look at people’s body language showing if they are needing help, including those wearing a sunflower lanyard, which highlights that the person has a disability - the store usually has a supply of these.
Staff will help older and disabled customers around the store and do their shopping with them, including at checkouts - unloading and packing shopping and taking it to their car. They also have a wheelchair in the store and a trolley for disabled children.
Toilet - There is no toilet for customers to use, so they would be directed to the public toilets in the high street, where there is a separate male and female block and a unisex disabled accessible which needs a radar key to access.
